Our project proposal, "Pitch Perfect," has been approved!
Over the moon! We went to Florence to participate in the training sessions organized by the Italian Erasmus+ National Agency, to better manage and communicate our project, "Pitch Perfect."
Let's start again from the beginning ;D
Pitch Perfect is an acronym for "improving communication skills of psychologists and counselors towards LGBTQ people through illustrated playing cards," and it’s a project proposal we developed for the March 2023 deadline for the "Small Scale Partnerships" open call of the Erasmus+ Program. It’s our first community project and also our first experience as coordinators of a European partnership, with Stichting Art. 1 as our project partner. Briefly, Pitch Perfect, which will run for 24 months in the field of adult education, will develop two main activities: the first is the creation of an educational cycle on inclusive LGBTIQA+ communication for counselors, educators, tutors, psychologists, families, and, in general, anyone who "gravitates" around support centers, along with a booklet that will be available in English and Dutch. The second activity, planned for 2024-2025, will focus on the culture of board games, RPGs, and digital illustrated arts, developing a set of illustrated playing cards that counselors, psychologists, and tutors can use as a tool to improve their relationship with LGBTIQA+ individuals and their families.
We kicked off our activities with the beneficiary launch event organized by the Erasmus+ INDIRE National Agency in Florence on October 30-31, 2023. During these two days of training, we learned how to manage the project, becoming familiar with the main platforms of the Erasmus+ Program. We especially enjoyed the insightful training session from the EDA Communication Unit on "How to Communicate Erasmus+" and the overview of EPALE and all its features.
The best part was participating in working groups with other beneficiary organizations, doing a lot of networking. We had the chance to share Pitch Perfect and our educational methodology, but above all, we learned a great deal from other organizations, exchanging doubts, expectations, and strengths. Many thanks again to the Erasmus+ INDIRE Adult Education Unit for the invitation, hospitality, and organization!
