Parental Digital Mediation & New Edition of the LGBTIQA+ Inclusive Communication Course: Registrations Now Open
We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Gaming and Parents workshops, a training program designed for parents, tutors, psychologists, educators, and trainers who wish to deepen their understanding of parental digital mediation.
The course will run for approximately 25 hours in total, from May to October 2025, and will be available in online or blended format in Milan. It aims to provide practical tools to address digital addiction and promote healthy and conscious gaming within family environments.
Through a combination of theoretical and practical activities, participants will learn how to manage and understand young people's relationship with the digital world, developing effective support strategies. While primarily targeted at parents of all ages, this program is also designed as an empowerment opportunity for anyone engaging not only with new generations but also with everyday digital experiences, from entertainment apps on our smartphones to more complex, thought-provoking video games.
This workshop marks the first official implementation of our Gaming and Parents project, created to provide concrete tools for those involved in the education and digital growth of children and teenagers. The project is developed in partnership with Rafíþróttasamtök Íslands, an Icelandic eSports federation.
As part of the blended workshop, there will be a unique "exchange" session between Italian and Icelandic parents, offering a space to share experiences and insights on digital life, gaming, and family dynamics—bringing together two countries that, geographically, might be far apart, but are connected by similar challenges in the digital age.
And That’s Not All!
After the great success of the first edition, we are also launching the first re-edition of our Inclusive Communication course for the LGBTIQA+ community. From this year forward, this training program will become a regular part of our annual offerings, with a new edition every year.
This course is designed for counselors, tutors, psychologists, and educators looking to enhance their skills in creating inclusive support environments through affirmative practices and cultural competence strategies.
Practical Information:
Schedule: Sessions will take place on weekday evenings, making participation easier.
Maximum participants: 30 per course.
For Gaming and Parents, only 10 spots are available (out of 30 total), as 20 places have already been assigned during the project’s initial phase.
About the language of the courses: The course is conducted in Italian and partially in English, but starting this year, we will begin using Zoom for our online and blended courses. Zoom is the only platform that automatically translates spoken content and generates subtitles for users in any language. This means that truly everyone will be able to participate, regardless of their language proficiency!
