Relay Read-Aloud Event Against Gender-Based Violence
We are sharing this important cultural and awareness-raising event, which will take place in Palermo on Thursday, March 13, entirely organized by Libreria Dudi and Le Onde ETS, two key institutions in the city’s cultural and social landscape.
On Thursday, March 13, at 6:00 PM, Libreria Dudi will host a relay-style read-aloud session focusing on critical issues such as gender-based violence, the fight against stereotypes, and the defense of rights. The event is curated by Dudi and Le Onde ETS and is part of the "Una Biblioteca per Giulia" project, which aims to raise awareness through literature and sociocultural engagement.
During the evening, the two organizations will curate a reading relay featuring selected titles from ANDERSEN, the prestigious magazine and award dedicated to children's literature, with a special focus on books that address violence against women, the fight against stereotypes, and fundamental rights.
This initiative is part of a broader project: the traveling library of the Giulia Cecchettin Foundation. Until March 31, anyone interested can donate one or more books at participating bookstores. The collected books will contribute to the creation of this itinerant library, which will be brought to schools as a tool for awareness and education on gender-based violence.
This event is an opportunity to reflect, listen, and contribute to a meaningful cause. We will be there as part of the audience and are also participating in the book donation. We encourage you to do the same!
